How to Make a Fake WhatsApp Chat in 4 Steps

Set up the contact
Type the contact name shown in the green header and add a photo, or keep the initials circle WhatsApp shows for contacts without one. The status line underneath takes anything real WhatsApp shows there — “online”, “last seen today at 09:38”, or nothing at all.

Write the conversation
Add messages one at a time and choose who sent each: yours get the green bubble on the right, theirs the white bubble on the left. For anything longer than a few messages use “Write as script” and type the whole chat at once.

Set the times and the ticks
Every message carries its own clock, and your own messages carry a delivery state: one grey tick for sent, two grey for delivered, two blue for read. The blue double tick is the detail people look at first, so set it deliberately.

A WhatsApp Chat Maker Built on the Details
Most fake WhatsApp screenshots fall apart on the same three things: the ticks, the timestamps, and the tail. This preview handles all three. Your messages sit in the pale green bubble on the right with the clock and delivery state tucked into the bottom corner; theirs sit in white on the left. The first message of each run gets the little pointed tail, and consecutive messages from the same person do not — which is exactly how the real client groups a conversation.
The tick states are set per message rather than globally, because a real chat is rarely uniform. One grey tick means sent, two grey mean delivered, and two blue mean read. In a story, the moment a message stays on two grey ticks while the next one turns blue is doing real narrative work, and a generator that only offers one setting for the whole thread cannot express it.
The header carries the rest of the fiction: the contact name, the photo, and the status line that reads “online”, “last seen today at 09:38”, or “typing…” at the moment it matters. WhatsApp shows typing in the header rather than as a bubble in the thread, so that is where this puts it too.
